Visiting Scottsdale and Phoenix soon, and looking for the most delicious places to enjoy brunch in a cool, unique (and dare I say it… trendy) atmosphere? You’ve come to the right place!
As a Phoenix local who is also a self-proclaimed lover of all things breakfast and brunch (especially if it involves coffee and pancakes!), I can’t think of anyone more qualified to share the best brunch spots in Scottsdale and Phoenix with you.
After a lifetime of sampling my way through the brunch scene in Scottsdale and Phoenix — here are all the best and most unique spots you can’t miss on a vacation to the Valley of the Sun!
Best Breakfast & Brunch Spots in Scottsdale
1. The Eleanor
- Location: Old Town Scottsdale
- What to Order: Pancakes
The Eleanor is one of the newer brunch spots in Scottsdale that has gained a lot of attention, so I knew I needed to check it out to see what all the buzz was about. And let me tell you… I was not disappointed! The service was so friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the vibes were impeccable. This spot would be perfect for brunch during a bachelorette weekend in Scottsdale. I’ve only been once, but I will definitely be back!
We ordered way too much food for two people, but there were so many yummy things on the menu I wanted to try! The Wilbur, a sandwich with eggs, bacon, cheese, and tomato jam, was delicious, but I think my favorite thing we tried was the Pancakes, served with maple butter and chocolate chunks. The maple butter sold me — and dang, it was good!
The Eleanor also has a coffee bar. I tried a Vanilla Sage Latte, and it was good. This brunch spot also has a bunch of fun brunch cocktails. I want to try the B.O.F. (Breakfast Old Fashioned) next time. It sounds delicious!
2. Prep & Pastry
- Location: Old Town Scottsdale
- What to Order: Classic French Toast
Prep & Pastry is one of my friend’s favorite brunch spots because she claims they have the best French toast in Phoenix. I really can’t disagree — their French toast is really good (The Classic French Toast with macerated berries, candied almonds, and chai butter, if we’re being specific).
However, there is more to love about Prep & Pastry than just French toast. This trendy French-style brunch spot in Scottsdale serves up hashes, scrambles, sandwiches, and fresh-baked pastries. They also have a coffee bar, and personally, I think this is the best spot in Scottsdale for mimosas. “The Cure” with blueberry and lemon is delicious, as well as the “Strawberry Honey,” made with strawberry honey cordial and lemon. Cheers!
3. OEB Breakfast Co.
- Location: North Scottsdale
- What to Order: Gnocchi Breakfast Carbonara
OEB Breakfast Co. is a Scottdale brunch spot I had been wanting to try for a while. This past spring, my family went to OEB to celebrate my birthday, and we had a great experience! They treated me to a free birthday mimosa (woohoo!), and all the food was delicious.
OEB has plenty of farm-fresh options, including bowls, benedicts, scrambles, sandwiches, and sweets, like French toast and waffles. I was feeling “sweet” for my birthday brunch, so I ordered the Belgian Waffle. However, it was really a toss-up between that and the Gnocchi Breakfast Carbonara — I think I’ll be giving that a try next time!
If you want a brunch spot that offers an authentic, farm-to-table, chef-driven experience with some unique menu items — you’ll love OEB Breakfast Co.
4. Little Snitch
- Location: North Scottsdale
- What to Order: Espresso Martini
Little Snitch is an adorable brunch spot in North Scottsdale that totally gives off “girly” vibes, with its garden patio seating, pink fringed umbrellas, and antique decor. Although Little Snitch has a walk-up coffee counter, I recommend grabbing a table on the charming garden patio to enjoy your drinks and brunch. You will have to wait in line… but it’s totally worth it!
The one thing you have to try at Little Snitch is the espresso martinis. They come in unique, delicious flavors, like Almond Roca Chai (this was amazing), Raspberry Cheesecake (this was also amazing), and even seasonal flavors, like Pumpkinitini (I need to go back to try this one!).
For brunch, you can order omelets, toasts, sandwiches, salads, and more. I ordered the Turkey BLT — for a basic sandwich, it was exceptionally good! Round up the girls for a visit to Little Snitch. You’ll have a great time!
5. JOJO Coffeehouse
- Location: Old Town Scottsdale
- What to Order: Coffee or Mimosa Flight
Sipping on a coffee or mimosa flight while eating breakfast sounds like a great way to spend the morning, right? If you agree, head to JOJO Coffeehouse for brunch in Scottsdale!
While the food here wasn’t my personal favorite the few times I’ve been here, the coffee and mimosa flights make JOJO Coffeehouse worth a visit (you might have seen them on TikTok or Instagram — they’re pretty popular!). Coffee Flights comes with a cold brew, mocha, latte, caramel macchiato, and white mocha, and Mimosa Flights comes with orange, cranberry-lime, peach bellini, pineapple, and apple cinnamon mimosas.
6. Butters Pancakes + Cafe
- Location: North Scottsdale & Central Scottsdale
- What to Order: Berry Bliss or Blueberry Danish Pancakes
Butters Pancakes + Cafe is one of our go-to spots for breakfast in Scottsdale. Butters has such a warm, cozy, inviting atmosphere, and the food is always delicious.
I almost always order eggs with bacon and upgrade to a specialty pancake on the side (for only $2!). I mean, pancakes are in the name, so they’re a must-order, right? The “Berry Bliss” and “Blueberry Danish” are the best pancake flavors, if you’re wondering! Aside from pancakes, Butters also serves waffles, crepes, omelets, scrambles, skillets, benedicts, and other breakfast staples. You can also order espresso drinks, coffee, or a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice.
Butters Pancakes + Cafe gets super busy on the weekends and there are no reservations available, so be prepared to wait. I like going to the location in McCormick Ranch because there is a lake right next to the restaurant that is nice to walk around while you’re waiting for a table.
7. English Rose Tea Room
- Location: Carefree
- What to Order: Cream Tea
English Rose Tea Room is a hidden gem nestled in the mountains in Carefree, Arizona, just north of Scottsdale. It’s quaint, comfortable, and sophisticated, and it’s the best local spot for afternoon tea. I’ve been here a dozen times (if not more…) and have always had a fantastic experience. The staff is so kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere is so charming and authentic — it feels just like a tearoom in the United Kingdom!
English Rose Tea Room has 50+ loose leaf teas to choose from, including black, green, and fruit teas. I like ordering the Cream Tea, which comes with a small pot of tea and two scones, with lemon curd or strawberry preserves. The Paris Tea (an Earl Grey with vanilla, caramel, and blackcurrant) is my favorite — I get it every single time!
8. Eggstacy
- Location: North Scottsdale, Central Scottsdale, North Phoenix
- What to Order: Cookie Butter Crepe
Eggstacy is a local brunch chain that focuses on serving clean, seasonal, high-quality ingredients with several locations in Scottsdale and one in North Phoenix.
At Eggstacy, you’ll find a wide range of options on the menu, including benedicts, omelets, pancakes, waffles, skillets, crepes, and more. They definitely have one of the largest menus of all the brunch spots on this list. Personally, I’ve been here a few times, and the best thing I’ve ordered (hands down!) is the Cookie Butter Crepe. Though it’s pretty sweet, it’s what I’ll always order from here because it is so delicious — be sure to try it!
9. Hash Kitchen
- Location: North Scottsdale, Central Scottsdale, Arcadia & Peoria
- What to Order: Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary
Hash Kitchen is one of the most frequented places for brunch in Phoenix and Scottsdale. They have supersized portions and a weekend DJ, so it’s a fun spot if you’re into a “clubby” feeling for breakfast and are craving a giant portion of pretty much anything. It’s a really popular spot for bachelor and bachelorette parties in Scottsdale.
Though I can’t say Hash Kitchen is my favorite spot for brunch (the music is too loud for me!), it is extremely popular, so I wanted to include it on this list! They’ve redone their menu since the last time I’ve been there, but some of the new favorites on the menu are the Cannoli Donuts, Tamale Cakes, Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes, and Herb Fried Chicken + Waffle.
Also, if you’re a fan of Bloody Mary’s — Hash Kitchen is the place to be. They’re known for their Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar with tons of toppings to choose from, from crispy bacon sand sweet mango slices to pickled jalapeños and banana peppers.

`10. The Henry
- Location: Arcadia
- What to Order: California Bowl
If you’re searching for a cute, classy spot for breakfast or brunch in Phoenix, I can’t recommend The Henry enough. The Henry is one of the many spectacular restaurants owned by Fox Restaurant Concepts, which also owns other restaurants across Phoenix. The Henry also has locations in Coronado Island and Nashville — two of my favorite spots to visit! I’ve actually been to The Henry on Coronado Island more times than the one in Phoenix… but who is counting?
The Henry serves breakfast daily from 7 AM – 10:30 AM and a weekend brunch from 7 AM – 3 PM. My favorite part about dining at The Henry for breakfast (aside from the charming ambiance… it feels like you’re in a historic house!) is the full espresso bar. You can order delicious, handcrafted coffee drinks to sip on while enjoying your meal. The Henry is really popular, especially on the weekends, so I recommend making reservations.
11. Luci’s at the Orchard
- Location: Central Phoenix
- What to Order: Funky Monkey French Toast
Luci’s at the Orchard is by far one of the best brunch spots in Phoenix to visit when the weather is nice. The “orchard” is a beautiful outdoor patio with tons of shaded seating and a splash pad for the kids, so you can enjoy your breakfast and coffee while soaking up the sunshine.
Luci’s serves breakfast from 7 AM – 3 PM and has a full-service espresso bar. The Funky Monkey French Toast is my favorite thing to get here (it’s sooo good), and while I usually an iced coffee with my breakfast, I did try the white sangria here, and it was amazing! I took a sip of my husband’s, and I liked it so much I went to order one of my own.
Luci’s also has two other locations in Scottsdale and Phoenix (Luci’s Marketplace and Luci’s at the Grove), but I highly recommend visiting Luci’s at the Orchard. I’ve been to all the locations, and Luci’s at the Orchard has the best atmosphere (by far!). They have a walk-up counter, so you don’t need to make reservations.
12. Snooze, an A.M. Eatery
- Location: Downtown Phoenix, Central Phoenix, North Scottsdale
- What to Order: Pancake Flight
Snooze, an A.M. Eatery has been one of my long-standing favorite brunch spots in Phoenix (dating all the way back to college!). This trendy breakfast joint has locations across Greater Phoenix, including Downtown Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Gilbert, but the one I used to go to often in college was in Central Phoenix, which is why it’s on this part of the list!
Snooze is known for its unique benedicts, like the Smashed Avocado Benny and the Habanero Pork Belly Benny, as well as their pancakes, like the Blueberry Danish Pancakes, and seasonal pancakes, like the Pumpkin Pie Pecan Pancakes during the fall. My personal favorite thing to order at Snooze is the Pancake Flight, where you can mix and match up to three flavors of pancakes on one plate — that way, you can try them all!
Snooze also has a full-service espresso bar and serves boozy breakfast drinks, like mimosas, café cocktails, and more. Don’t miss Snooze during a trip to Phoenix — it’s a brunch staple!
13. Fàme Caffe
- Location: Central Phoenix
- What to Order: Breakfast Sandwich
Fàme Caffe is a popular spot for brunch in Phoenix that is committed to using dairy, eggs, vegetables, fruits, meats, and grains from local farmers and artisans.
From pancakes and oats to breakfast tacos and avocado toast — you’ll find a little bit of everything on the menu at Fàme. They also have a full espresso bar, where you can order lattes, mochas, and other handcrafted coffee beverages, as well as cocktails, beer, and wine. They’re open each day from 7 AM – 3 PM with a quick-serve counter, so you can get your food and drinks to go or grab a table inside or on the patio for a slow-paced breakfast.
14. Matt’s Big Breakfast
- Location: Downtown Phoenix, Biltmore, North Scottsdale & Glendale
- What to Order: The Hog & Chick
Matt’s Big Breakfast is hands-down our “go-to” spot for a quick, hearty breakfast. It’s a simple, no-fuss spot that feels like a modern spin on a classic diner. This is my husband’s favorite breakfast place, and whenever I suggest going to brunch, this is always where he asks to go (like, every single time… he’s obsessed).
What makes Matt’s unique is their commitment to using honest ingredients, like cage-free eggs, grain-fed pork, and local produce. We pretty much always order The Hog & Chick, which comes with two eggs, thick-cut bacon or country sausage (both are amazing options), potatoes, and sourdough toast with butter and jam. The reason we always get this? It is so good. If you’re looking for a savory breakfast that will leave you feeling full — head to Matt’s Big Breakfast!
Local Tip: If you’re catching an early flight in or out of Phoenix are looking for somewhere to grab breakfast, Matt’s Big Breakfast has a location at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Terminal 4 (you can thank me later!).
