Best Nashville Mural Tours

You certainly can go on a self-guided murals tour to see all the best murals in Nashville. However, if you’d rather sit back, relax, and let a local expert do all the work, I recommend booking one of these mural tours in Nashville that includes transportation around the city to many of the best murals (and some even include a professional photographer!):

  • Nashville Street Art & Instagram Golf Cart Tour: This top-rated two-hour tour visits several of the city’s most famous murals in the Gulch, Midtown, Downtown, and other locations across Nashville in a comfortable golf cart. You’ll have plenty of time to stop and take photos to capture your journey along the way!
  • Nashville Mural Photowalk Tour with Professional Photographer: If you want to capture beautiful photos in front of Nashville’s famous murals but don’t want to worry about taking the pictures, this tour is for you. This one-hour walking tour in 12 South includes professionally edited photos in front of famous murals and photo spots, including the “Nashville Looks Good on You” mural and the Draper James storefront.
  • Nashville Murals & Mimosas Tour: Explore several Nashville murals on this three-hour tour, which also includes complimentary mimosas! This would be a super fun morning tour for a bachelorette party.

Nashville Murals Guide

1. What Lifts You – Wings

  • Address: 302 11th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37203
  • Neighborhood: The Gulch
  • Artist: Kelsey Montague

The “What Lifts You” Wings in the Gulch is arguably the most famous mural in all of Nashville! This mural is ideal for taking a photo directly in front of, but just be prepared to stand in line — this mural attracts a crowd, especially if you’re visiting in the afternoon or evening. I recommend arriving early to this mural to snap a photo, then stopping by Biscuit Love, Milk & Honey, or Ladybird Taco nearby for some of the best coffee and brunch in Nashville!

Tip by Brit: At the bottom right corner of this mural, there is a miniature set of wings you can take a photo in front of, sitting down. It’s also a perfect backdrop for kids and dogs!

2. I Believe in Nashville

  • Address: 2702 12th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37204
  • Neighborhood: 12 South
  • Artist: Adrien Saporiti

If there is another mural as famous as the “What Lifts You” Wings, it’s the “I Believe in Nashville” mural across the street from Draper James in 12 South. This mural is an excellent backdrop to capture the local spirit during a trip to Nashville! If you want to avoid the crowds at the 12 South location, there is a second (and nearly identical!) “I Believe in Nashville” mural in East Nashville, painted by the same artist.

Note: Sadly, the iconic “I Believe in Nashville” mural in 12 South was vandalized and painted over in April 2025. I hope this mural is repainted soon because it was a well-known photo spot in Nashville and a symbol of the city’s vibrant spirit! In the meantime, check out the similar “I Believe in Nashville” mural in East Nashville!

3. Flowers

  • Address: 2900 12th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37204
  • Neighborhood: 12 South
  • Artist: Unknown

“Flowers” is another one of the most famous murals in Nashville’s 12 South. The elegance and simplicity of this mural make an excellent backdrop for a beautiful photo. “Flowers” is located between Paris Avenue and Kirkwood Avenue, and it’s directly across from the “Make Music, Not War” mural (so you can check two murals off your list at once!).

4. Drippy Lips

  • Address: 1814 21st Ave. South Nashville, TN 37212
  • Neighborhood: Hillsboro Village
  • Artist: Donald “Drawbertson” Robertson

The “Drawbertson Drippy Lips” mural is one of the best murals in Nashville for a girls’ trip or bachelorette party! It makes for a super cute backdrop and is near tons of great shopping and popular places to eat, like The Grilled Cheeserie and Jeni’s Ice Creams. You’ll find the mural in an alleyway between Belcourt Avenue and Acklen Avenue. It’s hard to miss!

5. Looking Pretty, Music City

  • Address: 2709 12th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37204
  • Neighborhood: 12 South
  • Artist: Emily Eisenhart

“Looking Pretty, Music City” is another popular mural in Nashville’s 12 South, painted on the side of Madewell. I love the fun pastel colors and the tribute to Nashville’s nickname — Music City! To best capture this shot, you’ll need to have your photographer stand on the other side of the street and wait for the cars to pass. The mural is large, so if you don’t cross the road, you won’t be able to capture it in one photo.

6. Nashville Looks Good on You

  • Address: 2511 12th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37204
  • Neighborhood: 12 South
  • Artist: TheNash.TN

“Nashville Looks Good on You” is another famous mural in 12 South (are we sensing a theme?). It’s located right behind Frothy Monkey, a popular coffee shop in 12 South, so it’s easy to find. I recommend shooting from an angle to get all the letters in the photo, as I did below! It’s also nice that this mural is so minimalist. It will match whatever you are wearing!

Tip by Brit: Although the most famous “Nashville Looks Good on You” mural is in 12 South, there are several other versions of this mural throughout the city, including two murals in East Nashville, one just south of Hillsboro Village, and one in Marathon Village just southwest of Downtown Nashville.

7. HearThisNashville

  • Address: 901 Gleaves St. Nashville, TN 37203
  • Neighborhood: The Gulch
  • Artist: Unknown

I stumbled upon the “HearThisNashville” mural while looking for another mural in The Gulch, so I think it’s newer, but I’m happy I found it! This is a fun mural to pose in front of because you can pretend to sing into the microphone. Just put another person on the end of the ear to “listen,” and you have a super fun photo!

8. Make Music, Not War

  • Address: 2902 12th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37204
  • Neighborhood: 12 South
  • Artist: Relax Max Apparel

The “Make Music, Not War” mural is a simple mural that, as I mentioned earlier, is right across from the “Flowers” mural. I love the greenery that drapes over the top and frames this mural. It’s a great tribute to Nashville’s vibrant music culture.

9. Draper James

  • Address: 2608 12th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37204
  • Neighborhood: 12 South
  • Artist: Unknown

The “Blue & White Wall” at Draper James is a popular spot for photos. You can pose on the bench in front of the window, as shown in my picture below, or in front of the blue-and-white striped wall just to the right of the bench. This mural doesn’t have much shade, so try to visit in the morning or evening when the sun isn’t at its brightest for the best photo.

10. What Lifts You – Hot Air Balloon

  • Address: 1034 West Eastland Ave. Nashville, TN 37206
  • Neighborhood: East Nashville
  • Artist: Kelsey Montague

The “What Lifts You” Hot Air Balloon is one of the most fun murals in Nashville—and it’s even 3D! You can hop into the basket to “fly away” in the hot air balloon, and it’s large enough for a few people to fit inside. This mural was created by the same artist as the “What Lifts You” Wings, but it receives far less attention. Don’t miss this awesome mural while you’re in Nashville!

11. I Heart Donuts

  • Address: 1110 Caruthers Ave. Nashville, TN 37204
  • Neighborhood: 12 South
  • Artist: Unknown

Do you love donuts? If so, you need to capture a photo of the “I Heart Donuts” mural in 12 South, painted on the front of Five Daughters Bakery, one of the best spots for a sweet treat in Nashville! The donuts are delicious, so be sure to stop inside this famous bakery for a donut either before or after snapping a photo in front of this famous mural.
